Comment | A game with interesting possibilities and good strateg, with many ways of progessing through the game
However is it spoiled by many game crashes and also by many veteran players who abuse newcomers. Added to that, sometimes the admin stuff actually play, which is grossly unfair.

I stopped playing after the abuse I got on the forums, even from the moderators.
Also, several bugs spoiled the game. Ship building is good and has very nice alien species graphics. |

Comment | This game a SWEET! Haven't found a better game like it. I find that the player son the forums are very helpful (once you get to know them), and the admins are very active - always adding new features to the game. One of the admins even gave me a little advice on how to play. This is not an easy game - but it is extremely addictive! First thing I do when I wake up is look to see if I can colonize another planet! This game is very deep - I love it!! A REAL strategy game! |

Comment | Ahum, the game is about killing, if you lose and die to bad, if you have bad allies to bad. But after a while you'll get to know a couple of good players, you'll form an trustworthy friend and memberlist, friends who cover for you when you can't be online, friends who tell you there econ and fighting strategie. And once you get known or feared THEN this game is intresting, survival is not dificult to beat the best or be the best is. |

Most of the vets are friendly, and are happy to give advice to newcomers.
If you fancy a strategical challenge, great gameplay and an active forum community then Space is for you :) |

Comment | Space is one of the funnest games areound, its been around since 1999 which says alot for its ability to stay fun, there have been times when the game has been unplayable due to banners such as gator and bonzai buddy, but they have removed all the popups which helps alot . i like the way that after all these years , noone has created a strategy to always win. The vets are good and bad. but at least they will help you if your placed next to them at the beginning. There are alot of fansites where players have posted their favorite strategies. and i like the saying "easy to play, impossible to master"

I enjoy the community, and all the different play strategies, differences in styles, and mostly the players from all around the world. I have made some good friends here, and some good "enemies," and I can't imagine NOT playing for even a single day...OK, I am a junkie. So, the Forum moderators play, but yeah, they lose, too. The Admins and Moderators play to make sure there is a smooth running game, and to keep an eye out for problems any player may have. They are an ever-present and most helpful group of folks. The players base is awesome, and most players are wonderful and helpful allies. The only time a new player might not find them helpful, is if they don't ask questions. There's a core group of experienced players who are always willing to help. Great place to be! |

Comment | I have never had Space crash my computer or had a real problem with banners. It is an addictively fun space strategy game. The gaming community is better than some other online communities I have seen in that most players seem to have a sense of fair play and are willing to answer newbies' questions or teach them. I highly recomend Space: Glory Through Conquest. |

Comment | I spent some time looking around for an internet game to play. Tried a few, got bored. Clicked a banner one day and found Space. I've stopped looking for other games to play. Space fills every aspect of gaming that I look for. Challenge, depth, dedication to it's players, an incredible community, variety, the list goes on. The fact that the Mods and Admins play the game as well should tell you that they care about this game. And in order to take care of it and fix what needs to be fixed, they need to have first hand knowledge of how the game works. I've yet to meet a player who has truly mastered this game. There are that many possibilities. And if you want to talk addiction, There are times when I will wake up in the middle of the night to check on my galaxy, or to send my allies a message.

Comment | guys...i`m playing this game since almost 4 years...i played together with mostly all of the moderators, admins and veterans and i can tell you the truth: nobody ever tried to cheat or anything what you guys mentioned before.I`m a straight man i used to play with verry slow internet conection before and even like that i never gaved it up.Space , is not just a game anymore for me, is a legend.I have many friends around there and every new players are welcomed and if you will check on the game forums you will find New Players training sites and topics which help the newbies by veterans and admins.

Comment | Fortunately, the game loads much faster than this page... even the amazingly detailed map. I don't consider myself a "vet" but I have enough experience to know that the game is truly amazing. Most people don't survive their first galaxy - heck, I just died in one - but it's more fun that way. If it were as easy as the other online games I played, I would never have come back to it. |

Comment | This is most addictive, best worked out browser game I've ever played. I've probably tried them all, and this is the only one that I haven't been able to escape for the last 5 years. Anyone saying different is probably a noob who couldn't take a loss when he got pounded by a more expierenced player. Because this game can be devastating for new players. But once you get the gang of it, it's the best there is. |

Comment | Yes, a lot of the vets are pretty unpleasant, but I've found that most of them are willing, if not always happy, to answer even the stupidest questions.
It is, of course, a war-game, so you're going to get pounded your first few games: just expect it, and learn what you can from your first few tries.
Overall, it's a great game. I'm a little more addicted than I'd like to be, but fortunately it only takes up a few minutes per hour, rather than being something that can suck down 7 or 8 hours at a time. |

Comment | SPACE is not a spectacular game visually, but if you were to take the time to lift the hood, you will find a well crafted engine rich with intricate and interesting strategic responsibilities. Not game for all, but those who seek such a game, this is amongst the best. It's a tough game in that you need to learn Econ Management, Species attributes (there are 10 to choose from) attributes, and then, after that, you need to learn the craft of war. Space War is very involved, the best appear to magically calculate their way to a winning position, but on the odd occasion, a skilled n00b can set up a successful defence and even wildly successful attack against a hardened veteran of the game. Magnificent scope for diplomacy and interaction with alliances of 4 players, as well as the out-of-game guilds (being a n00b, I choose the Honour Guild). This game has captured my interest for the last 12 months, and in that time I know that I am still a n00b.This is because I have yet to get past the mid-game to the end-game where the final ranking of players can take place. A Galaxy takes 300+ spots to fill (and then it can start). At the end of the game (approx 6 - 12 weeks) there are usually only 40 players left slugging it out with the capacity to take the prize. That's fair attrition, but fair chances as well. |

Like an admin she don`t have the right to play , but she did that , modify the code and always cheat and fiind a way to kill her oponent {acusee him of cheat, multy or give him a bug}.
She also abuse of her power and most of the player who did something for the game ..quite it because of her.. the game creator Raven, the old forum admin Lestat .and plenty more player.
I play it almoust 5 years , I was 2 years moderator and ambasador to romanian community, translate it in my langauge and lot`s of other stuff, and she ban me because she start to unlike the way that I was see in the community. Off-course she accuse me of alot of things also.
If you wana wast your time ..go ahead and play a game who have alot of bug`s, that never can fix ...and you will play it until you will kill the admin in the game and she will ban you for that. |

Comment | UPdate : There are a few factions, they do, from time to time, gang up. Other factions, from time to time, step in to correct the balance. I've still been playing, and still am pleased with how the game works. I think i've been there 2 years now. Quite satisfied with it all. |
